Fashion to me is just like pulling a space together. It has to have balance and flow. It’s the right amount of texture. It tells you something about the person beyond trends. It encompasses things of sentimental value. The scarf was my mom’s; I remember it as a child in the scarf box. The ring I designed and the mix of metal and meaning. My office sofa and pillows designed by my dear friend because he knows me so well. My friends often say, ‘that’s very Monica’. That’s because I know myself and I know my fashion.

My mom sent all of these photos on my birthday this week. The only one I’m missing is when I took every Lego kit and turned them into floor plans :)

A little before and after on a recent project. I love how removing the heavy walk in shower and eliminating the tub allowed for 2 larger vanities and adding a stool room. Removing the secluded dining room allowed for widening the kitchen, creating an amazing pantry with room to clean up after large parties and hiding the day to day appliances. Moving the powder bath opened the space up so much, too! The final touch will be all the amazing furniture by Alex at Dwell! 😍😍

This table continues to be one of the favorite pieces I’ve made recently. There is nothing I love more than hosting friends and family. The table top is reversible leather. Most days I go with the light and bright side. This weekend I flipped it for the dark, moody, warm and welcoming leather. It was the perfect backdrop for beef tenderloin and red wine.
