A small cabinet started out with an amber hue. My client wanted something in the walnut family, so I applied General Finishes spiced walnut. Looks pretty darn good, but will need 24 hours to dry before I apply finish.

Warm October day and you'd think if was near the end of May with all the warm weather creatures (myself included) coming out of the woodwork!

Almost tripped over this goofy rat snake on my way to the shop 😆.

Rat snakes are gentle giants. They will get defensive if handled or stepped on, but in most cases they hide or freeze in place. Then, once they realize you're a stinky human and are compromising their hunt or sun bath, they move along. They are really good climbers too! So you might find one in your attic, along the ceiling or walls of a garage or shed, and also in trees! They are non venomous and are great for decreasing bugs and rodents around your property!

Had to rebuild a new burl end cap on this serpentine cabinet and then color match it to the original. This one was a really stubborn piece 😆

It'll be well worth it!

I refinished a set of 8 pine chairs a few years ago. They are rather top heavy and this one tipped over and the upper half of the back snapped off. So I fixed the break and refinished the top to rematch the rest of the chair using the General Finishes Java stain and their High Performance top coat. Needs a couple more days to cure, but love how it turned out.

This 1949 Lane Cedar was on the curb ready to be thrown out when we knew we had to restore it! It was pretty beat up and needed to be stripped. It's got plenty of character, but looks a world better!

We plan to sell this one, so by all means send us a message if you're interested in price! I plan to post interior shots tomorrow.

Ran around the city of brotherly love yesterday! Never actually explored the city. Every time we've gone, it was for very specific events where we didn't have much time to roam around at random. First time seeing the Love monument and saw a perfect opportunity for a nice photograph.

Next time, we need to check out museums!

This one is so simple, but the design makes for a beautiful finished piece!

Unfortunately, there was one permanent stain on the desktop. Totally hate when that happens, but it can be inevitable with antique and vintage furniture!
