Pine chest of drawers, had lots of scratches and a broken drawer guide. Customer wanted a darker color. Came out well.
Child's rocker had a broken rocker. Made 2 new ones to match. Distressed the wood to match existing frame. Lacquered. Cool piece.

This beautiful old icebox goes home tomorrow. I've done several over the last 25 years, but this is the largest. Very heavy. The wood is American chestnut, rather rare these days. Customer wanted it darker. An espresso stain worked very well with the original brass hardware.
I think the customer will be pleased.

A finished maple buffet. This one had water,oil,and burn marks on the top. Most of the stains came out of the thin veneered top. The burn if course did not. Burns go very deep into the wood.
Piece turned out nice though with a little stain added. Customer happy.

One of the very cool old pieces I did this year. It's late 1800s Empire.
The wood is Mahogany,mostly veneered. These pieces are mostly built using hand tools. You can tell by looking at the handcut dovetail joints in the drawers. Before electricity. These pieces are a bit challenging to do but well worth it. Came out nice I think. Customer loved it.

Are your chairs safe?
It's Christmas time and lots of folks are having guests over. You definitely don't want any rickety chairs falling apart at your dinner table.
If you have chairs that creak,this is a sure sign of a loose glue joint two. Usually at this stage most of the glue joints are failing and the chair needs to be taken apart and reglued.
It takes me a couple days to rebuild one. There's still plenty of time to get it done before Christmas day. Message or call me at 706 207 7069 and I'll make em good again.
