offered a full day boot camp featuring & . It was a first of many wonderful boot camps to come. This is where designers got to see first hand how things work, install, are created & more. This type of immersive experience was incredible. And to share this with a room full of familiar faces of people I’ve know for years in the industry was what also made it even better. Thank you to the team for pulling this wonderful event off. I know how much passion and effort went into alllllll the details! And the swagggggg.

Sixteen years ago, Merri Interiors started at my dining room table with nothing but a laptop, determination, and honestly… very few options.

In 2010, the economy was brutal. There were no jobs. I couldn’t even get hired at a tile store. That’s how bad things were.

So instead of waiting for someone to give me an opportunity, I created one.

Most people don’t know this, but in the beginning I designed my own business cards, taught myself how to build a website by taking classes at Apple, and worked multiple jobs while trying to get Merri Interiors off the ground. Back then websites weren’t simple templates — I was learning iWeb piece by piece while figuring everything else out too.

At the same time, I went back to massage therapy part-time after being a licensed massage therapist for 15 years, while also working for a contractor doing expediting and design work just to support my family.

A few months later, I was pregnant with my second child.

The business grew from the dining room table… to a spare bedroom… then eventually took over the den. And every time I outgrew a space, I kept pushing forward.

Creating something from absolutely nothing but a dream is its own kind of magic.

Sixteen years later, I’m sitting here with a waitlist of clients who trust me with their homes and their lives. That will never be lost on me.

Merri Interiors gave me more than a career. It gave me purpose, resilience, freedom, creativity, growth, and the ability to build a future for my children. It carried me through some of the hardest years of my life and became one of the greatest blessings I could have imagined.

I do consider myself incredibly blessed. But I also know I fought hard for this life. There was a lot of grit behind the scenes.

Today I’m proud of what I built. And I know my mother would be proud of me too.

Render vs. Reality… and honestly? They’re basically twins 👯‍♀️

Photo-realistic renders take time (a lot of it) and they’re not cheap—but they allow my clients to see exactly where we’re headed before we spend a dollar on construction. No guessing. No surprises.

Just confidence in every decision.

Worth it? Always.

This beauty is doing everything — prep space, gathering spot, statement piece, and yes… still room for your morning coffee (or evening wine, no judgment).

We kept the space light, airy, and timeless with classic cabinetry, then added a bold moment with a navy pantry + coffee bar (because function should never be boring). Paired with sleek Thermador appliances and warm modern gold accents, the whole kitchen strikes that perfect balance between elevated and livable.

And can we just take a second for the storage? Because behind all this pretty is a seriously hardworking kitchen.

Basically: she’s perfect and she cooks.
