💎 Lunch at Tiffany’s… because sometimes you really do need a little blue-box moment. 🩵✨

Such a wonderful experience—and honestly, could everything be any cuter? From the beautiful details to the food, the setting, and that unmistakable Tiffany blue, it was the perfect little escape.

Life gets busy. Work gets demanding. And the world can feel especially tumultuous at times. It’s a good reminder that we’re allowed to step away for a few hours, enjoy something beautiful, explore our amazing cities, laugh, eat something delicious, and simply appreciate the moment.

Sometimes a little beauty and a lovely lunch are exactly what the soul ordered. 💎🥂🩵

✨ Well… this is pretty exciting. ✨

I’m incredibly honored (and maybe just a little giddy 😏) to have been asked to serve as a judge for the upcoming Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) Kitchen Cabinet Design Awards!

After more than 20 years designing kitchens, obsessing over details, questioning why something is two inches off, and having VERY strong feelings about cabinetry 😂… I get to sit on the other side of the design process and help recognize some of the best work in our industry.

And honestly? I cannot wait.

I’m so excited to see the creativity, craftsmanship, clever solutions, gorgeous details—and hopefully a few designs that make me say, “Okayyy… THAT is good.” 👏

A huge thank you to KCMA for inviting me to be part of this year’s judging panel and trusting me to bring my experience, perspective, and slightly obsessive designer eye to the process. 😉

Truly honored. Very excited.
And yes… I’ll be judging. But nicely. 😂❤️

It’s alllll about the contacts, the relationships… and the trust. 🤍

Many years ago, I designed this client’s kitchen in her previous home. Fast-forward to a new house, and we recently completed her primary bathroom renovation.

The kitchen renovation? That’s coming… just not quite yet. 😉

But when her existing kitchen countertop suddenly started to crumble and needed some serious help, she called me to ask, “Do you know someone who can fix this?”

Of course I do. 😏

One call to my team, and they did what they always do—a phenomenal job repairing the countertop and giving it a little more life until she’s ready to tackle the full kitchen renovation.

And THIS is something I don’t think gets talked about enough in design.

After 20+ years in this business, you’re not just hiring me for the design. You’re hiring the relationships I’ve built, the tradespeople I trust, the phone calls I can make, and a team that shows up when one of my clients needs help—even when there isn’t a big renovation attached to it.

Good design is important.

But great contacts, long-standing relationships, and trust?

That’s priceless.

And when she’s ready for that kitchen… well, you know who she’s calling. 😉🔨✨

A kitchen designed for serious cooking… and seriously good-looking company. 🐾

This kitchen was all about creating a space that feels elevated without sacrificing the way a real family actually lives and cooks.

The oversized island gives the chef plenty of room to work, complete with an additional prep sink, while the quartzite countertops and full-height quartzite backsplash bring movement and quiet luxury throughout the space.

And one of my favorite details? The waterfall edge finished with a solid brass insert—a small architectural moment that completely changes the island. 🤌

We also carved out a dedicated bar area with a beverage refrigerator, coffee station, liquor storage and plenty of cabinetry, keeping everything organized and out of the main cooking zone.

Warm wood, creamy cabinetry, natural stone, touches of brass… functional, sophisticated and designed for how this family actually lives.

And obviously, we need to acknowledge the real star of the shoot. 🐶
The model required no styling, ignored all creative direction, and still managed to steal the entire kitchen. 😂

Every space tells a different story — because every client is different.

Different homes. Different lifestyles. Different challenges. Different tastes. And that means the solution should never be one-size-fits-all.

Sometimes it’s rethinking a layout, creating smarter storage, working around an architectural quirk, or coming up with a solution nobody thought of until we stood in the space and asked, “What if we did this instead?”

Looking back through some of my professionally shot projects, there may not be one particular “style” connecting them — and I actually LOVE that!

The common thread is thoughtful design that feels personal to the people who live there.

Because your home shouldn’t look like everyone else’s.

It should look like you. 🤍
