Went turkey hunting last night. Had a few close encounters just couldn't close the deal. Then got dumped on by rain. Thought we were going to have to swim out of there.

Just got done watching "fight to survive" tree stand fall, on the outdoor channel. If you hunt, especially from a tree stand, you should watch it. It only takes a minute to put on a safety harness but if you don't, it could change your life forever.

How was opening day of the rifle season for everyone? Brandon sat this morning as well as tonight. Saw a few small bucks and some doe. The doe didn't get close enough for a shot with the bow. Was fun sitting while a blanket of snow covered the ground. Be sure to share pictures with us. If you are still after a deer, good luck.
