Working on this antique was such a rewarding process! ♥️ Here is how I achieved this beautiful finish:
✨ Stripped the original finish to reveal the bare wood.
✨ Applied a subtle whitewash and let it fully dry.
✨ Dry-brushed a warm, oil-based stain over the top and wiped it back.
The magic is in the details—the white stays tucked into the natural grain and hard-to-reach crevices. It highlights the piece’s unique character while maintaining a gorgeous, natural wood aesthetic.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of you 🌺🌸🌻
Just a little sneak peek of this 100 year old stunning oak sideboard! Saying goodbye to the orange and hello to an organic modern feel 🌿 In my stories, I had an overwhelming number of you vote for a natural finish on this sideboard. The original finish on this piece was hiding so much gorgeous detail so I stripped it down and created a custom, aged raw wood look to highlight the natural texture and grain 🌱🌾

Just a little sneak peek at this stunning Art Deco buffet. ✨ I kept the incredible original hardware, gave it a fresh polish, and paired it with the deep, dramatic richness of Wise Owl’s One Hour Enamel in “Abyss.”

Spring, but make it MIDCENTURY!

My goal for this Midcentury Lane cabinet was to honor its original era while introducing a fresh, modern aesthetic. The exterior veneer was peeling heavily, but the interior wood was remarkably well-preserved. I decided to lean into that contrast:
I repaired and patched the outside, painting it a gorgeous, era-appropriate green, while keeping the original rich wood tones inside. The original hinges weren’t solid brass, so after a good cleaning, I gave them a vibrant gold finish using Rub ‘n Buff.
finally tall “platform” base needed some work and a little more wow & now. Enter the fluted oak.

My goal for this Midcentury Lane cabinet was to honor its original era while introducing a fresh, modern aesthetic. The exterior veneer was peeling heavily, but the interior wood was remarkably well-preserved.
To highlight this contrast, I repaired and patched the outside & finished the outside in a midcentury green, while leaving the original wood tones untouched inside. After cleaning the original hinges-which unfortunately weren’t solid brass—I restored their luster with a gold-toned Rub n’ Buff.
