I wish I'd taken better pictures of the final product but at least you get the idea of how this product turned out. Several progress videos walk through nearly a dozen epoxy pours (yes, butterflies create a lot of extra pours if you want to do them well). Apart from the gap on the top shelf because the photo was taken before the top got secured properly, what do you think?

Probably the most challenging of all pieces I’ve worked on because of “learning experiences” was a temple altar. This is a progress picture of the lid after several hours of sanding off a bad batch of epoxy.
I’ll be routering the edge and gold leafing it before pouring a final coat.

This was a “learning experience” I wasn’t expecting but learned an amazing amount about butterflies in woodworking that will show up in many more projects in the future.

it is rare, that I am proud of some thing that I build. This one, I have to say, it’s that bill. This is a Cottonwood slab that I torched sanded and brushed to create this unique finish. The epoxy river color goes around all of the edges and one butterfly… Inadvertently… Changed from white to clear wings so that was a surprise!
