*Pet Safety** 4th of July: More pets go missing on 4th of July than any other day of the year! Here are some pet safety tips for the upcoming Holiday! Please take these into consideration! Please also make sure your animal has up to date owner information either on their collar, harness and even microchip! Please *DO NOT* leave your animals unattended outside even with a fenced in yard. Each year accidents have happened where animals have broken a fence or gate to get out. Reminder that fireworks will likely be set off all weekend in and around your neighborhood. Be sure to properly secure your animals collar or harness. **If you are in the City of Colonial Heights, VA and your animal does go missing- please contact the shelter at 804-520-9397.
