Thirty years of design.

Before digital 3D renderings, before Revit… before “open plan” meant what it does today—

Louer was just getting started.

Founded in 1996, these archive photos from the late 90s and early 2000s capture an earlier chapter in how workplaces were imagined and built.

These spaces were planned in 2D—AutoCAD at best—and visualization often meant hand-drawn sketches.

Slower. More analog. A different kind of process.

And the interiors—
pops of teal and purple, angled panels to stagger the visual, glass block details, and task seating that didn’t mess around.

There was a real effort to bring a sense of architecture into panel systems—muntins, layering, even the occasional arch to soften things.

Different tools. Different solutions. Same goal.

Thirty years later, we’re still solving for people—just with better tools. And a deeper perspective.

Our president, Yvette Paris, recently founded a nonprofit, Riverbend Renewal ,
in Alton, Illinois.

The focus of Riverbend Renewal is to advocate, educate and provide hands on solutions to preserve, restore and rehabilitate historic homes in Alton (Yvette’s hometown).

Bringing together her passion for design and the deep appreciation for the city’s rich architectural history—they aim to “Turn Blight into Delight.”

These cheerful windows were painted by the Louer team to bring holiday cheer to downtown Alton.

We had such an amazing 🌿thyme🌿 volunteering at this morning for IIDA giveback day! We got to learn about the land, how they produce so much food per year, and got our hands dirty in the field weeding an entire carrot patch while also trying some native fruits and veggies! Thank you to everyone who had a hand in making this event happen it was so much fun and I can't wait for next year!

A message from our President, Yvette Paris:

I’m beyond excited to share a significant milestone at Louer Facility Planning!

At the end of 2024, I officially completed the buyout of Louer Facility Planning from our founder, Jane Louer, and stepped into the role of President. Having been with the company since 2006, this moment marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter, and I’m incredibly grateful for the foundation Jane has laid and the opportunity to carry it forward.

The past two years have been a whirlwind of change, but they’ve also been filled with growth and progress. In 2024, we exceeded $6.7 million in sales, but what’s even more exciting than the numbers is the work we get to do, the relationships we’ve built, and the community we’re a part of.

None of this would have been possible without the support of our local businesses, organizations, and industry partners who’ve trusted us over the years. I truly value each and every one of our clients—past and present—and I’m so grateful for the collaborations that have helped us get to where we are today. Your trust and support are the bedrock of our success, and I’m committed to continuing to provide the same high level of service, quality, and expertise that you’ve come to expect, with a personalized, design-focused approach.

I’m also thrilled to share that April Dant, a longtime member of our team, has been promoted to Vice President of Operations. Her contributions have been instrumental in our success, and I couldn’t be more excited to see her take on this new role. April is a true leader and an integral part of our continued growth.

As we look ahead, I’m filled with gratitude for the road we’ve traveled and excitement for the journey ahead. We will continue to partner with businesses and organizations across the Metro East and St. Louis region to create thoughtful, innovative, and impactful spaces that make a difference in the lives of those who use them.
