I said goodbye to this project Monday. It took me a lot longer to do than I thought but I love how it turned out. SO. MUCH. DETAIL!. It made me reflect over the past year and what life brought me and my family. I’m so grateful for the outpouring of community that I am blessed to have. God truly does give us a community to keep us going. I’m also so grateful for my husband who supports my (sometimes) outrageous art and craft adventures. Love you babe. And to all you Mama Bears…keep being Mama Bears. Your kids need you to be a bear, even if they don’t think that they do.

UPDATE: I will not be at this show tomorrow. I had an emergency come up and I cannot make it. Please still go and meet some wonderful artisans (shop local) and support a great cause in Lemons of Love. I did donate a piece of art to the show and you can purchase a raffle ticket there. I will also list the prices on each item on here if someone wants to purchase. Again, I'm sorry. Jo

I will be displaying and selling my art at the annual Lemons of Love artisan and craft fair. I hope to see you all there! Please note the different location this year. 🙂

This has been a months long emotional and exciting journey. I have cried over this piece. I have PRAYED over this piece. I am thrilled with how it turned out. I am even thankful for the honest feedback that I requested and received. I am thankful to the client to trust me with this project and I am really glad to see it go! HA! I pray that the owner is so blessed by it every time he and his big family walks through it into a warm and loving home. Luke 24:29

This was an exciting project. Not just because I had never done anything like it before, but because it was for a dear friend. A challenge and a blessing. And, I'm glad to say that she loved it!

What a gorgeous burl. Like a diamond in the rough. From the outside, it's rough and bumpy and ugly. Now, it literally looks like sand or water reflecting the sun...beautiful
