Karen's Kreations My hobby and passion is to take old pieces of furniture and make them beautiful again........I love to be different and think outside of the box.....

I love to make funky furniture, I love color and lots of it, every piece I do, I pour my heart and soul into, I make any repairs, I sand, I prime and then most pieces get 4 coats of chalk paint that I make myself. I only buy Lowe's Signature series paint, I will not use anything else, yes it costs more but it is worth every penny. I brush paint every piece, the only thing that will get spray paint

ed is the hardware. I am very picky and it takes me quite some time to do a piece.......so if you ask me to do a piece for you, please be patient with me, it will be worth it in the end.

Update on my life, for those who are interested. I had a brain aneurysm with bleeding repaired last Friday, I spent 5 days in the Neuro ICU in Minneapolis. We have been home for a few days and I'm doing well. I have 9 more anyerysms still in my brain. We are trying to get an appointment at Mayo as soon as possible. Not really much else to try and explain, because I really don't know how. I'm so very grateful for all your prayers and well wishes. I feel very blessed.

Hello my lovlies ❤️. I'm writing this post with a heavy heart. I have made the decision to put Karen's Kreations on the back burner for a while. Between work, having our 18 month old granddaughter here every day, and a new granddaughter due in September, I just can't find the energy, time, or passion that I need to be creative. I may still work on a piece here and there, but I just can't do any custom work. I think I've lost my mojo. We also need to redo our basement/workshop by moving my laundry room down there so we can add another bedroom on the main floor. We do this by choice so we can babysit our grandkids. I hope you are able to find it in your heart to understand. I will be trying to finish the piece I'm working on, and I plan on leaving the page open for now. I love you all and I'm so grateful that you came with me on this journey ❤️❤️❤️

Slight setback, discovered a leaky window in my shop, had to move everything around in the shop so it can be replaced 😔

Hello all😘. Haven't got much painting done this week. My job has been a little stressful lately, this to shall pass. We are also getting ready for our first trip up north to our happy place next week. I hope to get some painting in over the weekend at least. Picture is of my happy place cabin in northern Minnesota 😊

Hello my lovlies❤️. I'm still here. Started some new medications, and night time oxygen. I really don't feel any different, still get very tired in the afternoon. I think we've finally come to the conclusion that the tiredness is long haul covid, may never go away. I got back in the shop today and managed to get a piece prepped, then I had to nap. I'm trying to turn this mid century modern hutch top into a bookshelf/display cabinet. I'm going bold with black and gold. I want to see how long it takes me to complete it, because at this point I just don't know. I just want to try to get back to my happy place😊 even if it takes me forever. I love you all and appreciate all your prayers and kind words. 😘😘😘

Hello my friends ❤️, I miss you all so much. Just wanted to give you an update. I had my colonoscopy last Wednesday, they took 10 polyps/biopsies from 5 different areas. I'm so happy to say that they all came back clear, praise God ❣️. I'm waiting on my insurance to approve sleeping oxygen in the hopes that that will help with the fatigue I have all day, then hopefully I can get back in the shop. I will probably start back slowly as I will have to build up my muscles a little, they've turned to jello lol. Sanding and cleaning takes some good muscle and stamina, and I'm hoping to regain some of that over time. Thank you again for sticking these last 4 months out with me. My love to you all 😘🥰😘😘🥰

Hello all❤️ saw the pulmonologist today, says my pulmonary test shows much worse COPD than the lack of symptoms I have, not real sure what that that means, but I'll take it for now. One more oxygen test to do, starting a once daily medicine for now. Still hoping for oxygen at night so I can sleep. I'm also going to have a colonoscopy at the end of the month, 2 out of 3 home screening tests came back positive, seems like I'm going to hell in a hand basket. Just trying to stay positive for now. I miss kreating so much l, hopefully I'll be able to get back to it before long. Love to you all 😘😘😘

Hello my friends ❤️. Starting to move along with doctor appointments and tests. According to my home sleep test, I do not have sleep apnea, according to my pulmonary test I have COPD, yes, I smoke. I have not seen the pulmonologist yet, that appointment is in March. I'm still waking myself up every couple hours at night, so I'm still exhausted all the time. I won't know much more until my appointment next month. I ask that you please do not preach at me about smoking, I've tried, and I keep trying. I know I did this to myself, and that's enough guilt for me to deal with right now. My love to you all🥰

Hello my friends ❤️. Just wanted to give you an update. I finally got all my tests done, but won't know much until February 10th when I see my NP. Hoping she can help with the sleep disorder and I don't have to wait until March when I see the pulmonary Dr. Haven't really been able to do much, I get so tired easily. I've thought about just giving up the furniture, but I just can't until I know if they can help me feel better. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and saying lots of prayers. Big hugs to you all 🥰🥰🥰
