25 years ago today I started my first “real” job at Lorain Furniture. I still like being here.

Fun fact: in 2028, Lorain Furniture will celebrate 50 years in business.

Would there be any interest in the community for a bit of a Lorain Furniture “basic appliance repair workshop”? Really basic stuff like cleaning lint out of your dryer etc, or basic washing machine maintenance

I can probably host about 5-10 people max per lesson.

Lorain Furniture is looking for Appliance delivery people. It is Saturday only, our delivery hours are roughly 9-5.

Pay $28/ hour for the team lead/driver, $23/ hour for the assistant. The first 3 hours are gauranteed. Again, this is one day a week only, and it is always Saturday.

Applicants are expected to be fully proficient with all aspects of appliance delivery and installation. We deliver to a lot of older homes, and installation is usually more challenging than standard cookie cutter style homes. You need to be able to think of solutions regarding installation.

Everyone, there are a lot of scammers out there, some people are on marketplace selling appliances and somehow trying to affiliate themselves with my company.

1. We only have ONE Location, we do not sell anything anywhere other than: 4617 Lorain ave, Cleveland, Ohio.

2. We deliver all of our appliances on Saturday ONLY, in a Nice Condition Box Truck. If someone shows up in a pick up truck pretending to be me, they are not.

3. We do not do COD ( cash on delivery) type transations. We do not accept Zell, cash app, or any other payments UNLESS you are physically in the store. All "remote" type purchases are credit card only, and on a limited basis. 99% of all my transactions are in person, with physical receipts given.

Further, we have legitimate receipts, with a proper letterhead etc. We will never write a receipt on anything else.

Lorain Furniture is looking for a full time sales associate. 9-5 Monday through Friday, with the option of overtime. No experience required, but you must have good attention to detail, have basic computer skills, and a positive attitude. We are an Appliance store, so you must be physically able to assist customers with loading their purchases, unloading deliveries etc. Tasks include helping customers both in person, and on the phone, shipping online parts orders, managing inventory, coordinate delivery etc.

Starting pay $15/ hour + overtime (optional)

Any appliance technicians out there looking for a change? Lorain Furniture is looking to add another tech to our roster. Very laid back, we will never overbook or make you work more than 8 hours per day (unless you really want to). Willing to pay $20/ hr PLUS 10% commission on all of your service work performed. You must be experienced, have your own tools etc. Hours are flexible, 20-40 hours per week.
