Mi nuevo tumbler Ryobi ya está listo para mantener el ritmo y tener el agua bien fresca en cada proyecto. ¡A trabajar a gusto y bien hidratada…

Bonus room project update….

After putting all the wood on the ceiling, I went around filling all the holes my nail gun left behind—and trust me, there were a lot! To fill them, I used Red Mahogany wood putty. Remember, you’ll see the step-by-step process of this project right here, so don’t forget to share! 😉…

Siguiente fase de la renovación del bonus room.

Next Phase of the Bonus Room Makeover…

The next thing I did for the room was seal the 44 wood planks with polyurethane to protect them and preserve the color. As they were drying, we were taking them up to the room, so they’re ready to be installed. Are you ready to see what I’ll be placing next? Don’t forget to share!

Un trabajo de varios días y mucha paciencia... ¡así preparo cada pieza para el bonus room….

A multi-day job and a lot of patience... that’s how I prep each piece for the bonus room.

Here I’m explaining a bit of the process and the work I did with this wood. To be honest, I don’t even remember how many boxes I had, but I do know I worked with about 44 wood boards! To color them, I used Minwax Red Mahogany stain. It was a long process that took me several days, but the result is totally worth it.

My new project for the bonus room 🛠️🏡

The next project I worked on in the room was working with some wood planks. I bought them a while ago at Lowe’s on clearance. I originally bought them to put in another area of my house, but that never happened. Working on this wood took me a lot of time because there’s a whole process you have to follow: sanding, cleaning, applying wood conditioner, and staining. (The stain I used was oil-based, which is why I worked on these outside and left them out there for days until the smell completely went away.) The very last thing I did was seal each piece of wood. So, that’s what I’ll be showing you next—don’t miss it!
