This is a test piece. A curved drawer front with the sides attached with dovetails.

There are some large, blank walls in my house. I’ve never been sure how to use those spaces. I’ve long thought that a giant clock might be nice, but never found one I liked. One day I discovered George Nelson, who was an industrial designer in the mid-20th century. He had an awesome clock but was too small.

I borrowed his design and scaled it up. The original is 18 inches in diameter. My version seen here is about 48 inches in diameter. I’m quite pleased with it. Now what should I do with the other wall?

I made a cheese slicer. No more kids cheese for me!!

The hardware came in today for the TV stand I built for the kids. I like the way it sets off from the color of the wood.

I made a TV stand for the kids to use upstairs. It’s solid cherry. The drawer pulls haven’t arrived yet but it came out nice and I wanted to share.

Someone liked the Minecraft shelves I built for Jack so much she wanted one for her little boy’s hot wheels. Here it is in racing stripe red.
