It was an honor and a pleasure to be a small part of its history, restoring it during the hotel’s recent renovation.

We've been at this for a while! A former client sent us these photos when they found a tin of Stawax polish, made especially for Stair & Company from the 1950s-1980s, in their parents' home. This tin was given to the client's parents by the father of Stair Restoration founder, John Stair, and the grandfather of current owner, Colin Stair. The wax was made in London and used in the London Stair & Company location and then in New York until 1984. The same wax remains viable to use on your furniture today!
