This is our FAVORITE part of this mud kitchen! The *very* custom, water feature! This was one of the *must haves* on the list of things the client wanted for their project. What would YOUR must haves be?!

Theres more than one way to cook an egg. And there’s more than one way at to build a box! This time, I assembled the entire box as a whole unit then cut the lid off the top. I did it this way because I wanted the wood grain to be seamless top to bottom. The tricky part is planning ahead and making sure I don’t forget what I’m adding to the box before I glue it up! For example this box had a middle divider that was rabbited inside. Once it’s glued together, there’s no way to add that ledge! This forces me to slow my brain down and actually HAVE A PLAN. 😅

Loved making this custom walnut “heirloom box” as a quinceañera gift! Mahogany splines for just a little character and personalized lid engraved by Home Hearth and Threads, which turned out so good!! This simple, clean design really let the wood speak for itself. Although it doesn’t FEEL like the holidays, they are right around the corner. The calendar is open for custom pieces before the holidays! Ps. Yes, we will ignore the backseat of the car backdrop… when you remember you never took photos… you do what you gotta do 🤪

Trust me. I get it. The hardest part is figuring out where to start! Most people think you have to come up with the exact thing you want, precise dimensions, and perfectly manicured inspiration board. But really, that’s the part I enjoy most. Collaborating your ideas, vision and practical ways to achieve the final result.. but the first step is sending the message!

Custom woodwork doesn’t always mean dining room tables or dressers! Creating displays for memorabilia and souvenirs count too! A sweet friend of mine wanted a way to easily hang this paddle and sword. Something simple, and easy to take pack up during future moves. Both items are able to be removed, making it functional and “out of the way”. What do you have lying around that you’re not quite sure what to do with or how to display it… ? I know a woodshop for that 😉

Documenting the “work in progress” is one of the hardest parts of a build. 99% of the time I am so caught up in the project I forget to stop and take pictures or check in throughout the steps… Then when I do… I look at them and think, wow no one is going to see this and think “oh yeah, that makes sense” or “I can see the vision in that ugly wood glue sandwhich you got there!” 😆 but with some blood sweat and cuss words, that picture in my head starts to peak through!

I am SO excited to finally be able to share pictures from this super fun project!! I had the opportunity to be apart of Cycle Laundromat’s second location that just opened off Tiny town road in Clarksville. They had the vision for a “ski lodge” atmosphere and I absolutely LOVE how it all came together. We went with a slightly rustic style for their folding table bases. For the top, they wanted a hard, easy to clean surface, so we opt for concrete table tops. Each one was hand poured in the shop and embossed with their logo, custom cut by Home Hearth and Threads. In total we had 2,200lbs of concrete! 😅 I’m so happy with how these turned out and even more excited for the owners and their growing business. If you have never been to one of their locations I highly recommend swinging by. Their staff is so friendly, the space is always so clean and welcoming.

Delivery days. Always the best! Until you realize you forgot your real camera! 🤪 these iPhone photos don’t do this walnut conference table justice. But I was too excited (and behind on posts) not to share! This table replaced a GIGANTIC table that was impractical for the space, so the occupants decided it was time for an upgrade! Although it took what feels like forever to complete I am so happy with how the wood came out!
