š Hi, Iām Kristin! Welcome to my colorful corner of the design world! Iām a lover of color, collector of antiques (especially artwork), pattern-obsessed, and never met an estate sale I didnāt want to explore. I thought it would be fun to share a few things about meābehind every mood board, paint swatch and furniture layout, thereās a real person juggling kids, clients, creativity, and way too many throw pillows. šš¼āāļø
Here are 10 fun facts you may or may not know about me:
1. The first space I ever decorated was my college apartment bedroom. I found a triangle shaped table at Goodwill and painted it purple, reupholstered a lampshade and sewed curtains to match. My roommate called it āThe Purple Palaceā. š
2. Iād sit in my childhood closet for hours clipping out pictures from magazines for a huge collage I created on the back of the door. āļø
3. My first job, at the age of 15, was at Dairy Queen. I still love their ice cream to this day. š¦
4. I love coffee! I find such joy in a hot cup of black coffee in the morning and an iced coffee with milk in the afternoon. I look forward to it every day. āļø
5. I have always loved to read. My goal is to read 52 books this year. I like keeping track in the Goodreads app. Iād love to start a book club. Anyone interested? š
6. A hobby I wish I had more time for is sewing. I recently purchased an online course on how to make pretty throw pillows and hope to delve into that this winter. š§µ
7. I used to collect buttons and vintage aprons. Now, I collect artwork for the numerous gallery walls in my home! š¼ļø
8. I used to teach Family and Consumer Sciences to middle school students. I color coded everything in my classroom! š©āš«
9. I love jigsaw puzzles. I could seriously get lost for hours doing one. For me, itās like a form of meditation. š§©

I was also a āSmiley Ambassadorā which meant that I drove the Cookie Cruiser, a 1974 DIVCO milk truck, to various events around the Pittsburgh area to positively represent the restaurant. š
