Kristin Keeney Interiors

Kristin Keeney Interiors Interior Decorating and Custom Furniture Painting Services I have always loved antique and vintage items. Let me help you make your home preen like a peacock!

I take great pride in taking something old and tattered and making it beautiful and useful again! I specialize in chalk painting furniture and not only do I resell the pieces I buy, I am also happy to provide the service of taking a piece of furniture that you provide and paint it any color you'd like. I work with a variety of brands, love to blend colors, and my specialty is adding little details to really create a standout piece. I can work with you to customize the piece to your liking.

My job isn’t to design what I would choose.

Yes, I can show a client something beautiful—but what matters most is that it’s something THEY would choose.

I believe clients hire me to help them clarify what they love…and then gently push them just far enough to create something extraordinary.

Good design, in my opinion, isn’t about imposing my taste on others. It’s about identifying, refining, and elevating THEIRS so they experience their home in the best way possible!

Do I love color and pattern? 1000%.

But I’ve been having so much fun helping clients fine-tune their own aesthetic and then seasoning it with a little Kristin Keeney interiors.

Some can handle a pinch.
Some want a dash.
And some are happy to let me season the whole dish!

Honestly, I’m eating it all up! šŸ˜‹

They say you need a good eye for design…
I’d argue you need THE EYE. šŸ‘ļø

Seeing what works, what doesn’t, and—most importantly—what COULD BE.
If you’ve ever felt stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of your next move, that’s where my eye comes in.

Let me see it for you.

Now booking spring projects. šŸ’œ

Blog Post 2 is up on my website!

This is a topic I’ve been thinking about for a while, and I finally realized it deserved its own blog post. Does anyone else feel like we grew up in color but are now living in beige? Personally, my home and my wardrobe don’t reflect that shift, but when I look around, I often feel like I’m in...

Feeling incredibly honored to have our family featured on the cover of Clarks Summit Living magazine! šŸ¤

This town has become more than just where we live— it’s where we’ve built a life, are raising our kids, started businesses, and found a community that truly feels like home.

Through Kristin Keeney interiors, I have the privilege of working on the homes and businesses of my neighbors—both residential and commercial— helping shape spaces that reflect the people who live and work here and the town they’re part of. Being able to invest in the beauty and character of the place we call home is something I feel honored to be able to do!

Designing here isn’t just about interiors; it’s about contributing to a community we love— helping it grow, thrive, and become an even more beautiful and desirable place to live with each completed project.

Being nominated for this feature by my very first clients, Gabby and Guy Fasciana of Everything Natural in Clarks Summit, makes it especially meaningful. Their trust in me from the earliest days of my business— first in their home and now in their own business— is a reminder of how deeply relationships and community are woven into the work I do.

šŸ‘‹ Hi, I’m Kristin! Welcome to my colorful corner of the design world! I’m a lover of color, collector of antiques (especially artwork), pattern-obsessed, and never met an estate sale I didn’t want to explore. I thought it would be fun to share a few things about me—behind every mood board, paint swatch and furniture layout, there’s a real person juggling kids, clients, creativity, and way too many throw pillows. šŸ’šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

Here are 10 fun facts you may or may not know about me:

1. The first space I ever decorated was my college apartment bedroom. I found a triangle shaped table at Goodwill and painted it purple, reupholstered a lampshade and sewed curtains to match. My roommate called it ā€œThe Purple Palaceā€. šŸ’œ
2. I’d sit in my childhood closet for hours clipping out pictures from magazines for a huge collage I created on the back of the door. āœ‚ļø
3. My first job, at the age of 15, was at Dairy Queen. I still love their ice cream to this day. šŸ¦
4. I love coffee! I find such joy in a hot cup of black coffee in the morning and an iced coffee with milk in the afternoon. I look forward to it every day. ā˜•ļø
5. I have always loved to read. My goal is to read 52 books this year. I like keeping track in the Goodreads app. I’d love to start a book club. Anyone interested? šŸ“š
6. A hobby I wish I had more time for is sewing. I recently purchased an online course on how to make pretty throw pillows and hope to delve into that this winter. 🧵
7. I used to collect buttons and vintage aprons. Now, I collect artwork for the numerous gallery walls in my home! šŸ–¼ļø
8. I used to teach Family and Consumer Sciences to middle school students. I color coded everything in my classroom! šŸ‘©ā€šŸ«
9. I love jigsaw puzzles. I could seriously get lost for hours doing one. For me, it’s like a form of meditation. 🧩
10. I was a server for many years at Eat n’Park and attended Smiley University at their corporate office where I went through Smiley mascot and es**rt training. I was also a ā€œSmiley Ambassadorā€ which meant that I drove the Cookie Cruiser, a 1974 DIVCO milk truck, to various events around the Pittsburgh area to positively represent the restaurant. 😊

My first blog post is up on my website! Let me know where you land in this debate!

The big debate in our home this holiday season is whether to put up colored or white outdoor lights. As many of you saw in my stories over the fall, we remodeled our front porch and no longer have railings. I’ve owned the same colored lights for close to 10 years now, and while once upon a time I ...

This cute little accent table was picked up by a repeat client recently. This piece will join a secretary desk in her entryway that I painted for her as well. Both pieces were painted with high gloss paint from Benjamin Moore. This color is called Newburyport Blue. I love a high gloss finish! šŸ˜

This piece is definitely giving autumn vibes, so I named her Autumn! She was in rough shape when I bought her so instead of re-staining the top, I went for a more rustic approach and used a combination of sanding and a wire brush paired with a whitewash to create this driftwood effect. The bottom has been painted in the color Coco by Annie Sloan and then waxed with brown and clear wax to give it a more antiqued look. The carved details on this piece are what drew me to it. The concentric semi circles on the front and back are my favorite part! This would be beautiful in a small entryway space or to fill a small blank wall that’s begging for some personality. Dimensions are 30ā€ W x 29ā€ H x 17 3/4ā€ D. Autumn can be yours for $120. Contact me to purchase. Local delivery available for an additional fee.
