Some life changes are happening over here for me quite a few actually. I'm reaching out on here because I am searching for a respite worker to help care for Hunter after-school hours. I know I have alot followers from all of Hunters past schools and current school. Also trusted customers who've become friends, friends and family and all around just a great group of followers.
This person would be on boarded (hired by ) and paid by People Inc . Starting Pay $20 per hour for respite. Higher pay if interested in taking on Community Hab.
I am really wanting to hire someone I know or someone I know who can recommend someone. I would really love to find someone with experience working with kids or adults with special needs. Its not necessary but would be preferred.
They would need to have a car and drivers license. I mainly need this person Monday- Thursday. After the hours of 2:30 until around 7 . It does not need to be right at 2:30 as I enrolled him in an after-school program at Maryvale. This person would need to pick him up there and bring him home in Depew and stay with him here until I get home around 7 at the latest. If you live close to me or near alden area there can be times he could go with you to your house If needed and I can pick him up on my way home. The latest he can stay at the after-school program is 6 however I want to limit how many days he stays that long as much as possible. My hours are flexible as well if needed on some days I could be home earlier. He could also come home some days on the bus this person would need to be at my house in Depew to get him off bus around 3. I won't know exact time till I get bus info. There is flexibility in all of this I can explain more over the phone to anyone who is interested. You could also pick up more hours on the weekend once and a while if you like but it is not necessary. If you are available durring the days on school holidays and breaks that would be even better but not necessary.
For those that dont know Hunter he is a 15 year old boy with Down Syndrome who loves football, buffalo bills of course, basketball and bowling. pretty much all sports those are his favorite. He is involved with unified sports at Depew so it could entail getting him to and from practice and games as well, if family is not available. Its not as many games and practices as the general Ed sports. He needs help with meal prepping. He has celiac so he needs to follow gluten free diet. I will have food at home for him. He can toilet himself. He is verbal, it will take time to learn some words that are not always clear. He is mostly happy and agreeable but can get in his moods that are easily managed with redirection.
Im going to very selective to insure I am bringing the right person in. This person will need to be trusted and feel like family. Must be reliable. I have a family member helping me until I can find this person so this person does not need to start when school starts and it will take time to get you hired on people incs side. Adding these today. My favorite find of this bunch is a chromolithograph produced in 1892 making it a true antique "A Bend in the River" the original watercolor was painted by Louis K Harlow. It is in its original frame. I replaced the frame back and added a white paper over the original mat as it had some water damage. The original mat is still in the frame with the tag in the back of it (see photo)

I've added some new ones today including a couple fall themed centerpieces made up of vintage wares. Each antique workbench drawer has been sanded cleaned and sealed then filled with vintage treasures. Each box comes with all you see in the box. Major booth revamping and I stretched out a bit. I got you a bigger space to shop my collection of hand picked treasures. Today I am now the owner of 2 booths, I got the one next to my existing booth. It feels so much better, not so crapmed.

Dropped just a few of my new finds in the booth on Monday. I have a ton more to clean, repair, condition, refinish , log and price. I have alot coming for August and hoping its a better month than July. It really was not a good month for me sales wise. I hope its just because its been so beautiful outside. 🌞
