This one time, I needed to dip a qtip into a paint can to do a tiny touch up. I set the can on the counter to open and WAM if fell on the floor splattering EVERYWHERE! After a few choice words yelled so loudly the neighbors could probably hear, I quickly grabbed WET paper towels and smeared it all around. The key to cleaning up spilled paint is to keep it WET! I scooped up the larger puddles of paint and kept using wet paper towels to wipe up the rest. The cabinets were doomed because I didn’t get to them in time so those got a fresh coat of paint. Please tell me I’m not the only one whose spilled a can of paint 🥴🫠

Want art but don’t want to spend a lot of money? You need to try this!

🎨 grab an inexpensive picture frame
🎨 remove the backing and mark where the white mat sits so you know your perimeter
🎨 use a disposable plate with 3 sections to use as your paint tray
🎨 dip 4 of your fingers in the various paints colors. I chose to use 3 colors that I knew would compliment the room (one color was the wall color, one was similar to our couch, and the other was an accent color I used in the built ins)
🎨 start in a corner and sporadically dot your fingers into the board. Try not to think too hard about placement. Remember your objective is just to cover the board. I used various techniques to keep my brain from trying to be strategic about where I was putting the paint. I’d dip my fingers in paint and then “play the piano” with my fingers or pretend to dial a phone.
🎨 occasionally spin your plate to change up which paint colors are going on your fingers. It’s ok if the paints start to blend together. It helps it looks really cool
🎨 once it’s dry out the white mat back on and slip in the frame. Ta-da! It’s a work of art that was inexpensive and goes with your decor!
