Happy Memorial Day!!
A tidbit of history: Memorial Day originated as Decoration Day in 1868 to honor Union soldiers who died in the Civil War. By 1890 every union state had adopted the holiday which due to the World Wars later expanding to commemorate all U.S. military personnel who fought and died in service.
Enjoy your holiday today - plant some flowers, visit a dear friend, and of course sew or quilt! Hours for the shop this week are a bit shorter: Monday - closed
