You never know what the next project might be. I don't know the history of this piece. It came in with broken fingers and needed lots of color touch up. The bottom had dry rot issue so I made a new base with levers. Once again standing tall and proud.

On a personal note, the wife and I are looking for a female mini dachshund. Yes this is a loud hint to my followers if anyone has a lead. But fate has sent me a stray cat instead. Its been in the building several days. I left doors open thinking it would wonder off. It did not. It's a bit weak but is eating well. Poor thing. I do believe I tracked down the owners. Always be kind to animals.

Sometimes you get the opportunity to work on complicated but fun projects. Some "little-body" soon will be making messes with sticky fingers or going for a stroll. Not sure of the age of this piece but interested engineering.

I never know what's coming to the shop next. This was an interesting project. Imported from Laos. Made of all natural materials. Wood and glue, no nails, plastics or metal. This is the second one I've repaired. It manufactured for the hmong community. The color match was tricky. A combination of orange shellac with a touch of dye added. Cool dragon carved into the wood. I believe the wood species is Kempas which has a unique odor similar to Vicks v***r rub
