Julie and Mark Thacker are the owners of julie’s shop on paint, a consignment resale store at 92 N. Julie has seen much success since pursuing her dream of opening a home decor store April 2014 in downtown Chillicothe. Thacker's shop is filled to the brim with furniture, art, light fixtures, and other items with much of the merchandise coming from estate sales within and outside the state of Ohio.

"I've always wanted to do this," Thacker said. "I decided you have to follow your dreams and make things happen." Thacker, who grew up Chillicothe, said for a majority of her life, she has lived no further than two blocks from downtown and loves the fact that the city's downtown is growing, with new businesses and restaurants. The number of customers who walk through the doors continues to increase, and the business has grown so, that it now occupies 92 and 96 North Paint Street, doubling its floor space.
