Healing is personal, and the environments that support it should be designed to meet every moment with intention.

The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC) Healing Center is a specialized residential wellness facility providing trauma-informed care that supports mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Working closely with SMSC, Continua Interiors brought together furniture and healthcare solutions that balance clinical function with residential comfort. Every space was considered with the community in mind, creating an environment that meets today’s needs and is built to adapt for tomorrow.

For Clayco’s new headquarters, Continua Interiors partnered with LJC to transform an existing building into a workplace that puts Clayco’s integrated model into practice.

Continua led the furniture scope across 230,000 square feet, from procurement and project management through installation. The scope spanned open workspaces, private offices, and amenity areas, including the relocation of 475 workstations and coordination of a complex, multi-vendor installation.

By dissolving traditional boundaries between teams, work modes, and common spaces, this innovative HQ creates a more interconnected workplace - one designed to evolve with its people and the future of work.

Individual experience is reshaping the standard for shared amenities. At 25 E Washington, a landmark Burnham-designed Chicago tower, an underutilized floor has been transformed into the Atrium Club – a premium destination designed around how people work, connect, and recharge.

Centered around a 3,000-square-foot open-air courtyard, the space brings together lounges, flexible work settings, meeting rooms, a bar, and a game room to support the different ways teams use a workplace throughout the day.

In collaboration with geniant + Eastlake Studio, Continua Interiors brought furniture and DIRTT architectural solutions together to create a seamless experience throughout the floor. DIRTT glass walls provide definition without sacrificing openness, allowing natural light and courtyard views to carry through the space. The result is a shared amenity designed around individual experience and a workplace people want to return to.

In partnership with Bisnow, Continua hosted “The Future of Fulton Market” — welcoming voices across commercial real estate, development, design, construction, and workplace strategy for a conversation on what’s next for one of Chicago’s most dynamic districts.

As a dealer partner on projects throughout the neighborhood, we’ve had a front-row seat to its remarkable evolution into one of the country’s premier destinations – so there was something especially fitting about hosting this conversation in our space.
