Our Story

Chicago area dealer of quality Amish-made cabinetry from Central Illinois. Amish Custom Kitchens has been in business since 1996. All our cabinets are custom made by Old Order Amish and blanket-wrapped delivered directly to your home. Each cabinet is constructed using solid woods and traditional construction methods such as mortise & tenon joinery and dovetailing, providing cabinets which will last a lifetime and make their installation less complicated.

Established in 1996, Amish Custom Kitchens came into existence when owner, Steve Bailey’s was renovating his own kitchen and learned of the craftsmanship and value of Amish-made cabinets. Taking note of the high quality and affordable price, he recognized a business opportunity to start his own company. Although it took some convincing to get the Amish carpenters to accept another dealer, he was persistent. Working from his basement, he took on friends and family as clients. After completing several kitchens, Amish Custom Kitchen's reputation for quality and customer service was established and the clients began to roll in. Five years later, the first storefront was established on Northwest Highway, eventually expanding to the current location on Harlem. Today Steve’s favorite part of the job is completing a renovation and seeing customers excited about their new kitchens.

Today, ACK is synonymous with quality cabinetry, creating stylish, functional spaces and satisfying customers for 24 years.
