A small kitchen with a lot of personality.

Here, vintage references meet contemporary pieces, with the design making the most of the room’s height and limited footprint. The Kashmir Chair by Resident brings a considered contrast to the kitchen counter, pairing its structured steel frame with a tailored upholstered backrest.

A good example of how the right chair can extend beyond its expected setting and become part of the kitchen itself.

Nearly a century later, Josef Hoffmann’s 811 Armchair still feels remarkably current.

First designed in the early 20th century, the chair pairs a bentwood frame with a curved backrest, traditionally finished with cane for added comfort. Its proportions and construction have allowed it to move easily across generations of interiors without losing its character.

Proof that good design never grows old.

Have you heard of Cradle to Cradle?

Unlike certifications that focus on a single stage of a product’s life, Cradle to Cradle evaluates the wider picture, looking at materials, production processes, product use, and what happens to those materials at the end of their life.

As of July 2, 2026, Flowerpot Pendant Lamps are among just four lighting products worldwide to receive this certificate.

The certification offers greater transparency into the materials, components, and production processes behind the product, providing a clearer view of its entire value chain.

Power, built in.

As work becomes less tied to the desk, access to power is moving with it. Outlets, USB connections, and wireless charging are increasingly integrated directly into tables, seating, and shared surfaces, bringing connectivity closer to where people actually work, meet, and gather.

These designs treat power as part of the furniture from the start, considered alongside form, function, and how the piece will be used.

The new luxury is less about making a statement and more about what stands behind the piece.

Authenticity is becoming its own measure of value, found in natural materials, skilled craftsmanship, thoughtful production, and designs made to last. Increasingly, the pieces that resonate are those with a clear sense of where they came from, how they were made, and why they were designed.

A selection of designs that reflect a more authentic and considered idea of luxury.

Benches can do more than fill an empty space. They bring flexibility, extra seating, and a strong visual element to an interior working just as well in an entryway or bedroom as they do around a dining table.

A selection of benches that add function without being an afterthought.

A home designed around comfort, character, and a slower way of living.

In this Berlin apartment, the Lapis Sofa System by Amura brings an organic presence to the living room. Its softened forms and modular composition create a setting that feels relaxed and considered, while allowing the space to remain open and adaptable.

The result is a room that feels personal rather than overly arranged—where the furniture becomes part of the way the home is lived in.

The GOT Table by Van Rossum, seen through the lens of Rise Projects.

For this collaboration, we invited founder Karen Frome to share what drew her to the piece and how she sees it working within Rise Projects’ approach to design. The result is a closer look beyond first impressions, exploring the table’s versatility, details, and relationship to the spaces around it.

A conversation between a piece of furniture and the designer who knows how to make it work.

A home shaped around light, movement, and the everyday rituals of living.

Casa AM14 in Spain’s Guadalentín Valley is organised as a series of volumes, each with its own purpose and connection to the changing light throughout the day. Sancal’s furniture fits naturally into the architecture, with a restrained palette that follows the calmness of the space, balanced by touches of color that bring character and contrast.

A thoughtful balance of calm and character, where the furniture becomes part of the rhythm of the home.

A polished interior, softened by a touch of playfulness. The Rondo Mirror by Oskar Zięta brings another layer to this elegant living room, with its rounded form and gold finish adding shape, reflection, and a little surprise to the space.

Its reflective surface catches and distorts the surroundings, turning a functional mirror into an unexpected decorative element.
