Our Story

The Vintage Owl is a collection of Upcycled Vintage, New, Unfinished, and Custom Furniture. We also offer Painting Services and Painting Workshops. We are a Family Operated Business so each Furniture item in our Showroom has been hand selected or painted/stained by a Family Member. The Love of Antiques started for both Husband and Wife team Christy and Jim (Jimmy) when they were still in Elementary and High School. Christy’s very first Job at the age of 16 was working in a Vintage Store pricing consigner’s items as they came through the door. She worked there for 5 years up until she graduated from College with a Degree in Business Administration. After that time she worked in Finance and Lending/Real Estate for 20+ years while shopping on weekends for Antiques with Husband Jimmy. Jimmy started learning Antiquing and working with his hands at the tender age of 6. His father Joe (Pops) was born and raised in Italy and came to the States as an adult. He taught his two sons Jimmy and Joey all the Trades he had learned as well as very strong Work Ethics.

In 10/2014 Christy decided to join Jimmy Full-Time in the Furniture Business and their Brick and Mortar store The Vintage Owl opened for Business in 12/2014. Our current location is our 3rd move as we had outgrown the other 2 locations. We have been very Blessed at this new location and find because it is so centralized we have been able to service most of Richmond, surrounding counties, and beyond in just this one location. As each year passes and by listening to our Customers we have learned so much about our Customer’s needs and wants. We always strive to find absolutely the BEST products the market has to offer from Paint/Stain Products, Solid Wood Choices, Vintage Items, New Furniture Items, Custom Furniture, and so much more. Also, we LOVE to teach others what we have learned over the years through our various Workshops.

Our mission is serving our Lord and serving others each and every day!!! Also, besides a passion for Antiques and Furniture we have a love for Animals!!! Hence the name “ The Vintage Owl “ .

Throughout the year, a portion of The Vintage Owl profits always goes to Local Animal Shelters.
