Bob & Martha Burns retired and closed Second Sale on August 16, 2022.

Thank you for 12 years of retail happiness, we wish you blessings as plentiful as we received from you. Second Sale is a second generation, family-owed store carrying quality used-furniture, home décor and custom designed, semiprecious stone jewelry. Opening in Great Bridge in 2011, we moved from brick and mortar to on-line shopping in January 2021.

From Bob & Martha, hello to all our friends! We're not back (retirement is too enjoyable) we're just dropping by to tell you that VA VINTAGE, a store with a variety of vintage goodies, has opened in Millwood Plaza, same shopping center we were in, as of March 01, 2024. They occupy part of the building where the pharmacy was located. They have so many wonderful items, from furniture to glassware, purses, decor...so much. We swiped a few photos to share with you to encourage you to make a trip to Millwood Plaza and support their small, local business. Tell they we said hi while you're there!

What a great time we've had in our post-retirement from our careers as we worked in our fun job, Second Sale. And we had yet another great time this past 18 months in our semi-retirement phase as we closed our storefront and took the store online only. We are not afraid of change so now we've decided to take the big leap and retire full time. Bob and I have found out we can relax, sleep later, have fun doing nothing or very little and doing all that stuff retired people do.
