Finished a quick project this weekend. Created some interest in this plain arched frame by adding a bit of color and decoupaged tissue paper. I'm pleased with the result. What do you think?

This little beauty is going into my master bathroom remodel. 🥰 Bought it on MP with the vision of upcycling her into a vanity. I think my vision was accomplished!

She was literally coming apart so had to stabilize her and raise the height with the sink to counter height. Have wanted to stencil a piece of furniture for some time now so got to do that as well.

Painted with Fusion Mineral Paint in Coal Black & Bayberry. Then sealed with Ebony SFO.

I love the transformation you can create with a little hard work 💪, some paint 🎨and stain!! This was my first time refinishing a dining table set and I knew going into this that it would be a tedious, time-consuming task but the result was well worth it! 🥰

I purchased this set over 20 years ago and it is still in very good shape. Plus, it’s solid wood so I really didn’t want to part with it but knew that it desperately needed a refresh so it would complement the rest of the dining room remodel. She’s all done and I’m beyond excited that she turned out exactly like I envisioned she would. Hoping to enjoy her for another 20 years! 😊 Check out the before and after!

Products used:
- Paint: Base of table and chairs are in Bayberry sealed with Ebony SFO to add some depth and protection by Fusion Mineral Paint
- Stain: Table and seat tops are a custom mix of Antique Walnut & Black Gel Stain, topcoated with Arm-R-Seal; 2 coats Gloss and final coat in Satin by General Finishes University
- Brushes: Fan and Round by Zibra Paint

This project has taken a long time and a lot of hard work, but she’s all done! 😍

I really wanted to give this dining room remodel some personality with a feature wall.....so, I went in search of furniture that I could repurpose and found a 2-piece China hutch and a 3-piece entertainment center on FB Marketplace. From there, I put my vision to paper and got to work creating this custom built-in wall unit.

It was intimidating doing a project of this size, let alone a custom one. It’s not perfect, and I definitely made some mistakes along the way, but I learned so much and am so very, very happy with how it turned out.

Shout out and a special thanks to my hubby for lending a helpful carpentry hand! Enjoy - I hope you like it too! 😊

Products used:
- Paint: custom blend of Algonquin and Cathedral Taupe for cabinets. Casement for the interior of shelving and boxes, all by
- Stain: Antique Walnut Gel Stain and Gel Topcoat on the shelves, drawers, and oak pole wrap details by
- Brushes: Fan and Palm Pro by

The number of changes I made to these pieces are too extensive to list, but if you view and compare the before & after pics you’ll get a good idea of what changed. Swipe to see the before..... 👉

Other custom projects in this room include:
- faux brick wall with a German schmear technique and whitewash using Snowbound by
- upcycled ceiling fan and hand-made jute twine shade
- custom hand-made jute lighted wall sconces
- drop cloth curtains

The reveal of this bathroom redesign is long overdue and I am so sorry for being MIA with the updates. 🤭 The goal for this redesign was to modernize it in a spa style with a rustic flair. And the two design elements that were a "must have" were 1) a curbless shower and 2) a soaking tub. I'm so proud of the finished design and think we nailed the modern rustic spa design - what do you think? Be sure to swipe through to see the before pics!

A little tidbit you may not know about me is that I love DIY and to be hands-on creative. I was so excited to be able to do just that with a couple of items in this project. I made the barn door mirror and towel rack from the pallet wood that the tub was delivered on! It was a great budget saver for sure and it turned out exactly as I was envisioning. A soaking tub wouldn't be complete without a bathtub caddy to hold all your indulgences, so I also made the bathtub caddy you see on the tub to enhance the spa experience - I'll share more details on the bathtub caddy in an upcoming post - stay tuned!

Do you have a desire to freshen up or redesign your space, but aren’t sure where to begin or how to pull it together? I know projects like this can seem daunting, so if this is you, then give me a call and let’s talk.

Isn't she pretty!?! 🏠 Wow, what a before and after! 😮 We ❤️❤️❤️ the transformation of our home!

Of all the redesign projects I’ve done, I must admit that this one is my favorite transformation to date! For years I've had a soft spot for painted white brick homes but also knew that painting brick can be harmful to the brick by trapping moisture and weakening it over time. Plus, my husband isn’t a fan of painted brick, so I thought I was doomed to have to live with the ugly yellow brick forever. Then I stumbled upon a potential solution - Romabio Classico Limewash. After doing some research about limewash applications and Romabio Paints, I knew this was the best option for us and worked hard to sell my husband on it. However, to win him over, we agreed to only paint the face of the brick, leaving the mortar joints as is. This method allows the brick pattern to remain visible but was a huge time commitment. And yes, I painted the face of every single brick and thought I would never, ever finish. It's such a unique look and we couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out. 😁

Romabio’s Classico Limewash is an amazing product to work with and I can’t wait to use it on more projects! Check out the before photos to see what the house looked like in 2016 when we bought it (definitely a fixer upper), and in 2017 when we updated the paint colors on the trim and gables, and had a new roof installed.

You might be surprised to find out how much of a transformation you can make with simple Redesign solutions like new hardware, lighting, paint or as in this case, limewash too. The options are limitless with Redesign, and it is an affordable approach to giving your home a fresh, updated look! Not sure where to start? I would love to help you with your Redesign project so you can better love where you live - give me a call today @ 757-309-0144!
