I'd probably turn a porch like this into another living room without even meaning to. πŸ˜‚

A comfortable place to sit, an old table, soft pillows and a few pumpkins here and there. And of course I'd keep those old green doors exactly as they are.

This is pretty much my idea of cozy for fall. πŸ‚πŸŒΏ

I don't need much on a porch when the old pieces are doing most of the work.

A beautiful old wood door, a few plants and some white pumpkins tucked around... I'd probably leave it right there.

I like fall best when it still feels like the house, just with a little bit of the season worked in. πŸ‚πŸ€

I don't think I could ever paint over a door with this much age showing. πŸ˜‚

That faded green is exactly the kind of color I love, especially with soft whites and those dusty peach pumpkins mixed in.

A little worn, a little imperfect... that's usually where I think things start getting interesting. πŸ‚πŸŒΏ

β˜€οΈ Good Morning~

πŸ“– And He said to them, β€œCome aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.”
Mark 6:31

I think this one fits today pretty well.

We spend so much of our lives working at something.

A job. A home. Raising kids. Taking care of people. Building something. Keeping up with all the things that somehow keep multiplying. πŸ˜…

And I’m not very good at stopping just because the calendar says I should.

But Jesus told His own disciples to come away and rest awhile.

I like that.

Not quit. Not ignore everything forever.

Just rest.

Maybe today doesn’t have to be productive.

Maybe it can just be a slower day. Good food. People you love. A little extra sitting around. Whatever rest looks like for you.

I think I’m going to take Him up on that today.

Be blessedπŸ₯°πŸ€πŸŒΏ

If the weather is nice, I'd much rather set the table outside than in. Especially this time of year.

Nothing fancy. An old table, mismatched chairs, a simple tablecloth and whatever I can gather up to make it feel welcoming.

Then give me those big old trees turning gold around the porch and I'm probably not going back inside until dark. πŸ˜‚πŸ‚

This is probably one of my favorite ways to ease into fall.

I keep the old wood and baskets I've always loved, then start sneaking in a few white pumpkins and those deeper, late-summer flowers.

I don't really want the house to change overnight just because September showed up. I like letting fall find its way in a little at a time. πŸŒ»πŸ‚

β˜€οΈ Good Morning~

πŸ“– Whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory.
1 Peter 1:8

I think this one is beautiful.

Because faith is a funny thing sometimes.

I haven’t seen Jesus with my own eyes. I wasn’t there for the miracles. I didn’t hear His voice in the streets.

And yet He has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.

I’ve prayed to Him. Trusted Him. Questioned Him. Thanked Him. Needed Him.

And somehow that relationship is real enough to carry joy with it.

Not the kind of joy that means everything is perfect.

Just that deeper kind that says, I know Who I belong to.

I know where my hope is.

And on a Sunday morning, that feels like a pretty wonderful thing to remember. πŸ€πŸ‚πŸŒΏ

Okay, I guess it’s time I finally show y’all what I’ve been working on behind the scenes. 😊

I’ve been quietly working on the first issue of the Rustic Tuesday Magazine for quite a while now, and I’m getting pretty close to the finish line.

It’s going to be filled with a lot of the things I already love sharing here... cozy homes, autumn decorating, gardens, quiet backroads, family recipes, faith, and some of the slower, simpler things I think a lot of us are craving these days.

I’m still putting the finishing touches on everything, but I’ve kept it to myself long enough. So here’s the cover. πŸ€ŽπŸ‚πŸŒΏ

I’m pretty excited to let y’all in on this one. 😊

I have a hard time leaving an old hutch alone.

I'll start with dishes, then add flowers, a few old jars, maybe some pumpkins... and before long I've rearranged the whole thing.

I especially love mixing fall things in with pieces that stay out all year. It feels a lot more natural to me than starting over every season. πŸŒ»πŸ‚

Green and fall just belong together to me. πŸ‚πŸŒΏ

I love keeping all the plants around as long as they'll let me, then working pumpkins, mums and a fall wreath in around them.

And I don't need a porch covered in orange to know fall has arrived. A little here and there with all that green is plenty for me. πŸ‚πŸŒΏ
