Custom 84" Sofa | Completed

This custom sofa is officially finished and ready for its new home.

Built from the ground up with a solid alder hardwood frame, a true 8-way hand-tied spring foundation, and foam core seat cushions wrapped in a 70/30 feather-down blend, this piece was designed to deliver both lasting comfort and durability.

The sofa is upholstered in Ishbiliya Oro velvet, a beautiful patterned textile that required careful layout and pattern placement throughout the piece. From the frame construction to the final upholstery details, every step was completed by hand in our shop.

Projects like this are a reminder that quality furniture takes time. Thoughtful construction, attention to detail, and traditional upholstery methods are what transform raw materials into something that can be enjoyed for generations.

A past client recently reached out about reupholstering her accent chair and ottoman in sheepskin. She asked if it was something I could do — and of course, that’s our specialty!

She supplied her own sample and asked if I could match the color. After a little digging through samples and some online research, we found the perfect match. Once the hides arrived, it was time to get to work.

Here are the end results — the client was thrilled with the craftsmanship and already looking forward to starting our next project together. 😀

When my client reached out, he explained that the banquette seating was way too deep and built for a much taller previous homeowner. It was uncomfortable, and the old fabric made it hard to slide in or out.

We discussed solutions, and I recommended new, shallower seat frames that would fit the existing built-in. He wanted something practical and elegant—leather checked all the boxes.

He chose a pull-over seat with channel back upholstery, and we sourced leather from in the color SHELLY-SADDLE. From there, I built new frames, added high-resiliency foam with Dacron wrap, and finished it with detailed upholstery work.

The result? Smooth, stylish, and comfortable. The client and his family were thrilled!
