As of Wednesday, June 10th, Robin’s Upholstery will open the showroom to show fabrics by appointment only. No drop-in clients will be accommodated. Masks are required during the appointments. Masks are available on site and are available for sale. I’m going to limit appointments to one client daily so I can provide cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces, books and display areas. Today I received the portable folding tables that will allow fabrics to also be viewed outside of the shop, if that provides a better comfort level for you. Masks must still be worn. I can no longer provide in-home appointments, or pickup and deliveries. If you have any other concerns, please feel free to contact me here with a message. Your well-being is important to me. Robin

Check out Riverland Auctions in Winona for rolls of material and vinyl that I’m clearing out of my shop. Also listed in the current auction are MCM chairs and an Industrial Jiffy Steamer that works! Auction ends Thursday. I will be clearing out years of antiques also!

Here's a new scam to be aware of today. I received an email inquiring about upholstery services from a Mandy Smith. This is a very popular name being used for scam sites. "Mandy" indicated she needed to do all business on line by email because she is hearing impaired. She asked for labor prices, if she could use her credit card, who processes the cards, was I the owner, etc. She would use a courier to deliver the furniture. I gave her information about costs and repeatedly let her know that I would need a verifiable address and information to be sure she was a legitimate customer. She kept ignoring that part. She was so pleased with the estimate that she kept wanting to text me her credit card to pay for it in full. She wanted a cell phone number to text it to. I explained that a custom order invoice would have to be placed on Etsy and they would handle processing, but I wouldn't do that either unless I could verify her identity. Needless to say, the correspondence suddenly halted when I suggested I meet her in person and examine the furniture for a final bid! How clever the scammers are getting! Be more clever and protect your information from these people!
