This urn was the hardest one I've done yet. The wood is Honey Locust, the tree came from our side yard here on the family farm. My dad's uncle planted it around 100 years ago. As a child, dad said that he use to climb it and played with his dog it in the shade it made everyday. This tree was the last tree that he helped cut down, as it was too big to cut himself. December 17, 2021, was the last day he was able to work prior to getting so sick that he couldn't leave the house. That friday he was able to saw one of the logs from this tree. I was able to use the very last board that came off the sawmill to make this urn.
