It’s everyone’s favorite day of the week…

If you want flawless joinery and perfectly snug fits, a reliable pair of calipers is your secret weapon. 🤫
A standard tape measure is great for rough cuts, but when it comes to precision, calipers do what a ruler can’t.

3 ways to use them in your shop today:

1️⃣ Outside Jaws: Measure the exact thickness of a board after planing to ensure it’s uniform.

2️⃣ Inside Jaws: Slip them into a mortise, dado, or groove to see exactly how wide your slot is. No more guessing if your tenon will fit!

3️⃣ Depth Gauge: Use the tail rod to measure the precise depth of a blind hole or rabbet.

💡 Pro-Tip: Dust can mess with digital screens and batteries always die at the worst time. Snag a dial caliper for a wood shop, it never skips a beat in a dusty environment!

We almost missed 2 weeks in a row 😮‍💨

Today’s tool is one of the most important additions in the shop, because it keeps us all on the same page, and on track 🙌

The project whiteboard 👏👏👏
In the shop there’s not a lot of computer work that allows us to update a project tracker to keep everyone on the same page, so this whiteboard does that for us.

✔️ It’s large and in a convenient space for everyone to easily see it
✔️ It allows for quick changes (erase or add)
✔️ It makes the next step obvious for all
