I dont know if it is allergies or a head cold, but Me and my husband are dealing with watery eyes, headache, sneezing, runny nose and scratchy throat.
I am staying out of the heat for a few days, in hopes it clears up.
I will be starting on a Cedar chest refresh once I feel up to it.

I am just about finished with a little step stool.
This little stool belonged to the clients son when he was little. She said he always wore a pair of green rainboots that looked like frogs. Her plans are to pass this on someday when she has a grandchild. I think the sentiment is absolutely precious. I hope she will be happy with it! 😊

Good morning! Quick update—I’m planning to start working on the pieces from the lady I got the dresser from, hopefully next week. Once those two are finished, I’ll move on to the Martha Washington dresser. More updates to come!

I picked up this piece today, and I’m so excited to give it new life — it just needs fresh drawer slides and a good coat of paint.

The best part, though, was the woman I got it from. She was absolutely the sweetest. It’s funny how paths cross sometimes. She had this piece for sale, and at the same time she was hoping to find someone who could spruce up her parents’ cedar chest and a little stool that belonged to her son when he was young.

So not only did I get the piece I wanted, but I’m able to help her with the things she needs done too. Moments like this make me love what I do even more. 💕

What does everyone think of this piece? What color would you paint it? It is a Martha Washington dresser, very old.
