Seriously… I have fixtures not placed in the center of the room, light switches smack dab in the middle of the wall and seven different things on my front hall ceiling. SEVEN!!! 😵‍💫

Let’s elevate your space in 5 easy steps:

1. Overhead lighting can be harsh.. layer with lamps, sconces and art lights to soften the room.

2. Check your rug size.. in most cases all the legs of your furniture should be on the rug. Large rugs = $$ so try layering a smaller rug on top of a large jute rug to cut costs.

3. Limit accessories.. too many can make a room look cluttered vs collected. Pare down your surfaces with just a few favorites and it is instantly elevated.

4. Scale Art to the wall size.. Art that is too small on a huge wall looks unintentional. Fill the wall with a large group of small pieces, a few medium sized pieces with sconces or a large piece of art.

5. Color can completely change a space and is one of the easiest and most affordable ways to elevate a room. Find a fabric, rug or bedding you love and pull 1 color from that to jump start your room. Everything else will fall into place!
