Rick decided to close the hardware store Monday for the holiday… but then grandson Layne stepped in and said, “Grandpa, that’s crazy! People might need something!” 😂

So here’s the plan…

Londeen’s Hardware will open at 8:30 AM like normal tomorrow and we’ll plan on staying open until 1:00 PM.

NOW… if everybody decides they need bolts, screws, grill supplies, plumbing parts, paint, mower parts, or that “one thing” they forgot… we may just stay open all day. If not, we’ll head home around 1:00 and throw some steaks and burgers on the grill. 🇺🇸🔥🍔

So if you need something tomorrow, stop by and see us!

🔥 Londeen’s Hardware Backyard Special – Smoked Whole Chicken 🔥

This is our go-to method for a JUICY, smoky, crispy whole chicken on your Traeger (or any pellet grill):

🍗 What You’ll Need:• 1 whole chicken (4–5 lbs)• Olive oil or melted butter• Your favorite BBQ rub (or grab one here at Londeen’s 😉)

🔥 How We Do It:

Pat the chicken dry and season it generously

Fire up the grill to 225°

Smoke for about 60–90 minutes

Crank the heat to 375–400°

Cook until internal temp hits 165° (breast) / 175° (thigh)

There are some things you just hang on to… even if you’re not exactly sure why.

When we bought Londeen’s Hardware, I came across an old bowling trophy tucked away. I thought it was really cool, so I kept it in my office all these years.

Well, today, something pretty special happened.

A gentleman came into the store and mentioned he had gone to school with Jon Londeen… and that they were actually on the same bowling team.

I said, “Hang on just a minute…”

I went back, grabbed that old trophy, and brought it out to show him.

His face lit up.
He remembered that trophy.
He remembered that tournament.

Right then, I knew exactly why I had kept it all this time.

I told him, “Well guess what… you’re the new owner of this trophy.”

Smiles all around.

Sometimes things have a way of finding their way back home.
