So here I am again, months later, trying to find and upload photos. I have been steadily working but seem to almost always forget the before photos and most of the time the after photos as well.

Last post was in May? No wonder folks are asking if I'm still in business. The answer is yes and so busy I forget to put photos up or even take them most of the time. Here's just a sampling of what I've been doing for the last 6 months.

I love the story of these chairs. The client remembers them from when she was a child. The backs tilt, which I’ve never run across. They were attached to the frame with standard decorative hinges, which definitely didn’t match the mid-century modern style.

I found a tag from the company that imported the chairs: John Stuart, Inc and also remnants of how the backs were originally attached.

A quick Google search and it looks to me like these are Sigvard Bernadotte Tilt-Back Armchairs. Just with the knuckle hinges long gone.

The bio for Sigvard is certainly worth a read. I could be mistaken of course, but that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Sometimes there’s a learning curve, sometimes it’s steep. And then there’s the time when it’s mountainous with a false summit or two.

I have the best clients: patient, encouraging and appreciative.

And I have to admit I am feeling a little bit proud for climbing that mountain.
