Good news to all my fellow potato chip and French fry lovers! The potatoes in the field next door are about ready to harvest. The plant tops have all died off-I mean killed off with spray-so they can be harvested more efficiently. Makes me appreciate the produce from our farmstead even more! I’m implicated.

Well, the peach trees made all the way to the bitter end. They carried their weight!

These aren’t the nicest or biggest peaches I’ve ever seen, but they are nicest peaches we’ve ever grown. 3 bushels of nice peaches and a bushel not so nice.

A week or so ago I had to prop up my peach trees because they were so laden with peaches. That was not sufficient. I had to tie the branches together for more support. Hopefully, they will ripen enough next week that I can relieve the trees of their burden.
