It is with a feeling of disappointment to inform all the residents living in and around the town limits of Liberty that we will not be placing a TWICE THE ICE machine back in the Town of Liberty. We were informed this morning by the Town Administrator that Liberty has zoning ordinances that require a 40 foot set back for all new buildings. Our permit was denied because the previous machine was only 21 feet from the right of way. We hate to inform you of this, in such a time when people need affordable fresh ice. It is sad that government regulation and red tape prevent small business from expanding and growing in an small town such as Liberty. To the citizens of Liberty we are sorry and we tried to bring an investment of new business into your town. Please remember this when you elect your representatives in your local government. The utilities were already installed and the machine would be up and selling ice by April 1st if our permit would have been approved. Attached is the picture of the location ready for installation of the machine. Please share and inform all of your family and friends why we will not be back to Liberty with an ice vending machine. The Central and Pickens machines will be your only option to buy 20 pounds of fresh ice for only $2.00.
