Job Title: Building Maintenance Custodian (Part-Time)
Location: First Congregational United Church of Christ, Cedar Rapids, IA
Hours: 10-12 hours/week (Flexible schedule)
Reports to: Senior Minister and Trustees

Position Overview
First Congregational UCC is seeking a reliable and self-motivated individual for a part-time Custodian and Maintenance role. This position is responsible for routine cleaning, light maintenance, and supply management to help maintain a clean, welcoming, and safe
environment. Work hours are flexible - you choose the schedule that works best for you.

Key Responsibilities
* Perform regular cleaning tasks, such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation.
* Set up and reset rooms for worship services, meetings, and events as needed.
* Conduct light maintenance tasks: change light bulbs, make small repairs, touch up paint, etc.
* Monitor and order cleaning and building supplies as needed.
* Assist with (and schedule if needed) occasional seasonal deep-cleaning and building projects.

Qualifications
* Dependable and able to work independently.
* Basic knowledge of cleaning products and tools.
* Comfortable with light physical labor (e.g., lifting, bending, moving furniture).
* Professional and respectful attitude in a shared community space.
* We welcome applicants from outside the church family.

Work Schedule
10 hours per week (up to two more if needed)
Schedule is flexible and can be arranged according to your availability.

Compensation
Hourly wage based on experience.
This is a part-time position without benefits.
