I debated with myself if I should] post this. The wrong side won.
A few weeks back i cut my thumb and fingers in my tablesaw. Great help from the ER, sewed me up.
As active as I am it's been difficult not working or not using my dominant hand.

I kept my fingers and thumb attached. They went on a diet losing some weight.

In all seriousness I am self conscious about power tools. I am not lazy or careless. But in a second things happen. My push bar caught the edge of the saw blade. My hand was moving forward and went into the saw blade.

Please focus on your task at hand, no matter what it is. Driving a car needs your full attention. Operating a saw you must anticipate potential risks to avoid them.

The attached photo has no blood but is my thumb prior to the stitches.

My apologies to my customers who I have to delay your work while healing.

This dining room table was presented as a wedding gift in 1930. Through generations of family use and fastidious care, a portion of the top became worn and uneven. I replaced half of the boards, carefully matching the grain and width of each piece to maintain its original authenticity. I have thoroughly examined most every joint, screw, and disassembly to reassemble. Through 219 hours of diligent work, it is being prepared for delivery to the customer. A labor of love. I am extremely grateful for this family's patience and fortitude.

Acquired two burls from the Marengo Iowa area. Rare to get them this size. Like a kid with a present I'm excited to see what is inside!
