I thought I would show you what I created from a 100-yr-old solid oak table I had in my inventory.
I thought it would look great with a finish that was in the Americana theme. So, I went with an American Flag.
The hardest decision for me was the number of stars to put on it and their placement. I decided to just start placing them and let my hand be the guide.
The words that I hand-lettered were easy to choose because I do love this country so much.

If anyone is interested, it is available, and I do ship ;-)
All of the details are below...

$195

Let your love of America show with this fantastic solid oak, occasional table.

I used all-natural, child-friendly products when I created this piece of Americana.

The pictures are not doing the table justice as the true colors are a deep navy blue, barn red, and creamy white to give it a more rustic feel.

I also added a few highlights here and there of an antique gold to be reminiscent of the tassel on the flag before distressing to perfection.

Measurements are:
23" Diameter
29" Tall

I just want to let everyone know that I have to suspend sales/refinishing for the next 8 to 10 weeks while I am waiting to be able to get back into my house/shop after the flood that happened on Christmas day.
I am unable to access any of my tools or furniture.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience and promise I will make it up to you by offering specials when I can start work again!

I won't have any work to show you for the next 8 weeks ☹️
Broken water pipes flooding your work area really messes things up! 🥺

This is My Story...

Hi, my name is Wendy, and I am the artist/creator/restorer behind I Love Old Furniture! I repair, restore and refinish furniture in my shop (also known as my house) in the Northwest Austin, Texas suburb of Cedar Park.

Although I have been a multimodality artist my entire life, I found that working on furniture is where I really found my happy place. So, I began to focus my knowledge and creativity on furniture more than 30 years ago.

Close to ten years ago now, I went through some significant life changes that knocked me for a loop, and I was left without a job with a steady income, but I still had endless bills coming in. I also found that my 78-year-old Mother was not doing nearly as well as she wanted me to believe living alone in her home several states away, and it became apparent that it was time for her to make a life change too.
