Some people have been asking; So just what is Dad's Workshop, well here goes
For the last several years of my dads life, instead of buying us kids, grandkids, and family presents he started making things out of wood for everyone. At first he started working out of a garage and eventually he built a shop to work in. He could make anything out of wood from cutout animals, puzzles, step stools, small benches, quilt racks and so many other things for Christmas gifts.
I started making somethings for my boys and my wife along with my dad for a couple years. My dad suddenly passed away unexpectedly in 2000, I didn't do much of making things for a few years. My boys were growing up and my two oldest boys got married. I started making things again for my wife, my boys, daughter in laws and now even my grandkids.
They would even give me ideas of stuff to make for them. For several years they kept telling me to make more of what I've been making to sell.
So here we are As for the name the sign was a Christmas gift from my middle son and his wife, my oldest son and his wife along with my wife were the ones that kept pushing me to keep going. My youngest son helps me in my shop. And my dad was the one that taught me how to do carpenter work, so it just seemed to fit. Dad's Workshop
