After much careful thought and consideration, we have decided that motorcycle and dirt bike traffic is no longer allowed on our property. Our new signage will be in place before the opening of ATV season in 2026.

Please stay on marked official ATV trails while visiting our forest. An official ATV map can be purchased through lakes region atv club. We do not allow the creation of new recreational trails without written permission. Cutting or limbing trees is also not permitted.

NOTICE: We currently have an active harvest off of Quaker Ridge Trail (off Route 11 in Casco). Please remember that logging equipment has the right of way over the trail. Please pay attention to signage and navigate slowly in this area.

Due to weather conditions, our trails are now closed to ATV and dirt bike traffic until next spring.

Our trails will be open for the season to ATV and dirt bike traffic starting tomorrow, May 22, 2024. Several trails are closed for maintenance. Please refrain from travelling on the closed trails.

Our ATV trails will NOT be open to the public on May 15th. We currently do not have a planned opening date due to the amount of trail work that is required for proper passage of the land. Check back here regularly in the future for updates on this topic.

Hancock Land and Jugtown Forest gates will be closed to road vehicles during the 2023 hunting season. The trail systems are simply too wet to withstand road vehicle traffic this year. The trails will remain open for ATV traffic during hunting season.

A small section of Pine Trail and Jugtown Trail will be closed on September 30th for a private event.  (Rain date Oct 1)

We have an active timber harvest in the Poplar Ridge Road area in Otisfield. Otisfield/121 park and ride is temporarily closed. Pipeline Trail is also temporarily closed. Folks using Otisfield Loop trail should be aware of active heavy equipment that is regularly crossing that trail.

The following trails will be closed through August 28th due to culvert maintenance at Burgess Brook: At Ellen Drive: Pine Trail to Jugtown Road. And also Jugtown Road to the intersection of Hancock Trail.
