Proud to say that the chair I donated to our Cape Coral American Legion raised $275 for Special Olympics. I was able to meet the couple who won the chair yesterday. God has blessed me so I wanted to give back. The next chair I donate will reside in Catlin Illinois.

Search My Heart 🤍

“Search me, O God, and know my heart;try me, and know my anxieties;and see if there is any wicked way in me,and lead me in the way everlasting.”— Psalms 139:23–24

This jewelry box was such a special piece to work on—both creatively and spiritually. I refinished it using Debi’s Design Diary clay paint in a custom mix of Antebellum Blue, Hey Sailor, and White Swan. For a soft, ocean-kissed texture, I added Dixie Belle Sea Spray.

I then applied a soft white wash and gently pulled it back with a rag to let the layers beneath peek through, adding depth and character before sealing.

The beautiful “Sun Kissed” rub-on transfer by re·design with Prima brings warmth and light, while the “Royal Damask” stencil paired with Debi’s Design Diary “Pennies from Heaven” copper metallic paint adds an elegant touch.

To protect and finish it all, I sealed it with Wise Owl’s clear coat.

Every brushstroke felt like a reminder to slow down, reflect, and invite God to search our hearts and guide our paths. ✨

This chair is dedicated to our brave men and women of our military. I am donating the chair to our Cape Coral American Legion for a fund raiser.
The decoupage paper was designed by MINT by michelle that I purchased on Etsy. The body of the chair is DIY Paint by Debi's Design Diary Little Black Dress. My first thought was a cocktail dress but then I thought how appropriate because the little black dress is worn at the funeral for our fallen soldiers . The stripes on the flag are in Crinoline ( cream)and Marquee (red)
I poured resin stars with re•design with Primas “ Wild West Whispers” the beautiful gold accents are Dixie’s Belles antique gilding wax I purchased from Cape Coral re:MADE.
Big Top top coat and DIY’s “ Dark and Decrepit” for the aged look. All paint was purchased fromPineapple Picasso
The 1776⭐️2026 is celebrating our 250th birthday. The red paint runs ( look closely) under the dates is to represent the blood that has been shed from our military men and women. Thank you Cape Coastal Recreations Michelle Moore for printing the Bible verse and the dates for the chair,truly added the special touch to the chair. You can purchase a raffle ticket at our American Legion.
Pray for our brave service members who are currently serving and veterans who have served.
