Over the past few months, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Mr. Mark Fletcher in Wimberley, Texas, and I just wanted to take a moment to say how thankful I am for customers like him. What started as a small project turned into building an 8×10 porch with a handicap ramp, installing new floors, building custom cabinetry, replacing countertops, and a few other improvements along the way.

Projects like this remind me why I love what I do. It’s not just about the work itself, it’s about helping make someone’s home more comfortable, more accessible, and a little better than it was before. I’m truly grateful for the trust my customers put in me, and I feel lucky to have met so many good people through this work.

Thank you again, Mark, aka Fletch , for the opportunity, and thank you to all my customers who continue to support what I do. I appreciate every single one of you. 🙏🔨🏡

Hey folks – Moose here with Nomad Mobile RV Service.

I just want to take a moment to say again how truly grateful I am for the amazing customers I get to serve. I take pride in every single job I do, and I absolutely love the people this work brings into my life.

Over the last day at and a half I spent ten hours building a solid, custom deck, routing the edges, installing hog panels, and making sure every detail was just right. But the greatest part of the day wasn’t the finished project. It was a moment I’ll never forget.

My customer Gloria came outside while I was working. She started reminiscing about her late husband—telling me how much she loved all the beautiful things he built out of wood. She said the smell of fresh-cut lumber took her right back to those days when her “firecracker of a man” built the world around her, creating a sanctuary filled with love and craftsmanship.

Standing there in the sawdust, listening to her memories, I was reminded why I do what I do. This trade isn’t just about repairs and builds—it’s about people, stories, and the little moments that connect us. I had to give that sweet, almost tearful lady a hug… even if I got a little sawdust on her in the process.

Moments like that make me so happy to do the work I love.

Hey folks, Moose here with Nomad Mobile RV Service!

Every now and then a job comes along that reminds me why I love what I do.

This week I spent about 20 hours building a solid, safe deck and handicap ramp for a gentleman who lives way out in the hill country. Winter slows the RV season down, but it opens the door for projects like this, helping good people stay comfortable and independent at home.

Here At Nomad Mobile RV Service, I don’t just fix campers. I help with just about anything that keeps the RV and outdoor life rolling, repairs, maintenance, upgrades, and apparently carpentry when the situation calls for it! I take pride in doing things right, and I’m pretty handy with wood when I need to be.

Nothing beats using my skills to help our older generation and make life a little easier… plus it keeps me out of trouble (most days).

This is the place to eat

The most common questioned we get asked, Who are you? So allow me to introduce ourselves.

Who we are?

We are Chefs Cassie and Vernon. A husband-and-wife chef team behind a small, locally rooted farm-to-table business called My Sweet Basil where food, family, and community are deeply intertwined. With backgrounds in food anthropology, local Texan, Native American, the hospitality industry, and fine dining restaurants our approach to cooking is shaped by both cultural storytelling and thoughtful service—honoring where food comes from and how it brings people together. We stared My Sweet Basil in Albuquerque New Mexico and have been in operation for over 10 years.

Our menus are driven by the seasons and built around organic, locally sourced ingredients from farmers and producers we know and trust. Each dish reflects a respect for tradition, place, and craft, prepared simply to let the ingredients speak for themselves.

Outside the kitchen, we are raising our two young children, ages five and three, who attend school here in the community. This business is not just our livelihood—it’s part of our family’s everyday life and a reflection of the values we hope to pass on: care for the land, curiosity about food, and hospitality rooted in connection.

At our core, we believe good food tells a story—of the people who grow and raise it, the cultures that inspire it, and the community that gathers around the table.
