Just finished turning this large Oak bowl which is finished with a combination of burning and ebonizing with vinegar. The wood came from a beautiful old oak tree taken down at the Parkway Playhouse in Burnsville.
This is the first bowl i have turned on my new Jet lathe which was acquired after my class at the Arrowmont School. After working on the incredible equipment there my old lathe just didn't measure up.
