I have a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art from a collaboration of studies at Maine College of Art and Johnson State College. I've been working in upholstery since I was old enough to move my arms. With the guidance of my mother and grandmother, through all the education and life lessons this tedious and labor intensive craft has become what makes me tick. Obsessing over the small details and tricks o
f the trade I have made it my personal mission to push the antique methods of reupholstering into the future. Vermont Reupholstery was born in November of 2014 with it's main focus on taking upholstery work out of the shadow's of those small crafter's homes and making it more accessible to the general public. Reupholstery has major benefits to modern day consumer culture such as it's nature of reusing what is old to make new, but also it's affordability. Vermont Reupholstery is pushing the envelop by making a conscious effort to eliminate using as many materials as possible that are detrimental to the environment and focusing on reusing those natural elements we as consumers left in the dust as polyurethane and petroleum based products took over. Great for college kids, new home buyers and those design forward people excited about saving some dough on a redesign project, Vermont Reupholstery is waiting to work with you! Lets bring life back to a lacking piece of furniture, bring color, clean lines fresh design back into your home, office or commercial space, and above all lets celebrate this beautiful green state we live in together by promoting social responsibility and economic growth!
