Model 50 in Maple.

Up to 12U of rack space in front, and about the same in the back. We like it with casters, we like it with hardwood legs. We like it in Walnut, Cherry, White Oak, Bright Green or in bare baltic birch.

We include an integrated, adjustable cable bar and one pullout shelf. We have customizable shelving options, just let us know what you need, how many and we will get you going.

The model 50 assembles in about 15 minutes with one person, and about 30 minutes if someone is talking about how stupid it is that White Lotus lost their composer and then you both get distracted and angry.

It won't make you a better musician, but walking into a nice, organized room with a well designed, functional beauty like this will get your session started off right.

New case day!

Oiled Walnut, 2x104HP eurorack.

We are launching a new line and are super, super, super excited to show it off.

We wanted to give people access to nice cases without spending a ton of scratch. We have a maple veneered baltic birch case line, these can be flat packed and should be able to get to your doorstep for very little. We are targeting $100 or so, with hardware.

The walnut that you see will be a fair amount more, but not crazy.

Rack rails are frustratingly expensive, and with those super cool tariffs, they are out of reach for most small builders.
Personally, I think Tiptop Z rails are the best format, and we are designing around them.

That being said, the rails are the most expensive part of case making, exceeding the materials cost, even for walnut. It's aluminum, it's extruded. And they aren't made in America. Not sure why "Big Aluminum" doesn't retool to make a tiny group of specialized hardware lol.

So we are going into the weekend to talk to some different makers and present an idea we have. It's not original, it's not groundbreaking, but we think it's necessary if we are going to succeed. If you want people to get into eurorack, the price of admission can't be so high.

I like finishing, by hand preferably. I've been enamored by ebonized white oak since forever and have gotten to mess about a few times to varied results. Burning is fun, but it's kinda messy and tough to make stable for indoors.
Making an iron oxide solution is fun, but inconsistent and takes forever. Sure, you dissolve nails or steel wool in acid 🤘, but then you need to also make tea and give it a nice bath. Painting is easy, but covers the grain.

So, wire brush and get some texture and bite. Then add an absurd amount of black to shellac, let it dry, then slap too much lacquer on it.
That works. But what about getting weird. Cerucing is usually a white wax that is rudely pushed into the grain and it's not too different here. White paste wax, buffed, dried and buffed again. Then rinse and repeat.

It's pretty.

The biggest con is that the lacquer is so smooth that it picks finger-prints, which the wax is happy to help with.

We used plywood with this, so it needed to be covered with a film finish. In the future, solid wood should handle this type finish better.

It would look sick af on a minimoog tho.

The Model 100 is the one that started it all for us. These two are available at in Wallingford. If you haven't had the chance to visit them we highly recommend you do. Not only are they incredibly knowledgeable but they are friendly and welcoming. Their showroom is a haptic heaven that, and I cannot stress this enough, is worth your time.

Introducing The Carmen, a custom build that posed some challenges but proved to be ultimately rewarding. It serves as both an audio console with record storage on one side, and a family entertainment console with game storage on the other. To achieve a clean, hardware-free look, we used Soss inset hinges that allow unfettered access to the records. Our primary focus was the walnut grain on the doors and top, which we emphasized using low-profile brass handles. One feature we particularly enjoyed was the custom-machined, one-piece walnut insets for the cord pass-throughs. We also created a version without doors that now happily resides with Mat.
