Loved having my sweet friend stop by to see our booths and help me restock! ❤️ She even found a little treasure to take home! 🥰 It meant so much to have her see what we’ve been working on, support our small business, and help keep the kiddos entertained while I got some work done. So thankful for friends who show up and support us in so many ways! 💕

Putting together an antique booth is hard work, but learning what sells & how market is as well! We learned a lot the first month, here are a few key takeaways:
1. Have reasonable expectations. You don’t know the clientele yet, you don’t know what items will sell or what people will be interested in. We did well the first month breaking even but didn’t sell as much as hoped or what we expected to sell right away.

2. You need more merchandise than you think. We filled our booth up & felt it was still light. Plan to layer items in & strategically pack in as much as you can to create fullness. Don’t stop sourcing. Keep hunting for new items to keep adding. Look for what’s selling or is on trend.

3. Prioritize the customer experience. Have your tags visible on each item & easy to read. Don’t make the customer work for it. Try to merchandise items at or around eye level. Group like items together for upselling opportunities. And don’t forget to make it a fun experience!
